Putting wellbeing at the heart of impact.  Practical, inclusive support for organisations and communities, from leadership culture to opportunities for people facing barriers to work.

Building inclusive organisations where people can contribute and succeed

Running a charity, Community Interest Company (CIC) or social enterprise can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging.

Many founders, directors, trustees and leaders carry significant responsibility. They balance funding pressures, governance requirements, financial management, staffing challenges and the expectations of the communities they serve.

For disabled people, people with long-term health conditions and others facing barriers, those challenges can be even greater.

At Accounting for Good CIC, we believe wellbeing is about more than reducing stress. It is about creating organisations where people can contribute and succeed in ways that work for them.

Building Inclusive Organisations

We help charities, CICs and social enterprises create inclusive and supportive environments where people can do their best work.

Our support may include:

  • Wellbeing surveys for staff and volunteers

  • Wellbeing policy development

  • Leadership wellbeing support

  • Disability and accessibility guidance

  • Creating inclusive organisational practices

  • Supporting sustainable leadership and decision-making

We understand that organisational wellbeing is closely linked to financial sustainability, good governance and realistic expectations. Strong organisations are built when people feel supported, valued and able to contribute effectively.

Self-Employment & Enterprise Support

Through Business Beyond Barriers and other initiatives, we support disabled people and those facing barriers to employment to explore self-employment, enterprise and other meaningful opportunities.

Our approach is practical, strengths-based and informed by lived experience.

Community Inclusion Projects

We design and deliver community projects that reduce isolation, build confidence and create opportunities for people to connect, learn and grow.

Activities may include:

  • Gardening and growing projects

  • Creative workshops

  • Tabletop gaming and social groups

  • Peer support activities

  • Confidence-building and self employment projects

Many of our projects are developed alongside the people they serve and reflect our commitment to inclusion, accessibility and community-led solutions.

Why Wellbeing Matters

People create impact.

When founders, directors, trustees, staff, volunteers and community members feel supported, organisations become stronger, communities become more connected and opportunities become more accessible.

For us, wellbeing is not separate from sustainability, inclusion or impact. It is fundamental to building organisations and communities where people can contribute, succeed and create lasting impact.
