Workshops & Learning Sessions
At Accounting for Good CIC, we believe financial confidence is built through practical, supportive learning, grounded in real-world experience of working with charities, CICs, and social enterprises.
Our learning sessions are focused on helping clients feel clearer and more confident in their financial decisions — not just at year end, but throughout the year.
On this page you’ll find:
Client Support & Learning Sessions – a confidential, client-only space to ask questions, sense-check decisions, and get clarity on finance, funding, and governance
Xero & QuickBooks Implementation Support – paid, hands-on sessions to help you set up or improve your accounting system so it actually works for your organisation
These sessions are designed for directors, trustees, and staff working within purpose-led organisations who want practical guidance, plain-English explanations, and support they can trust.
You can book the relevant session directly below.
Client Learning & Support -
Included for Accounting for Good Clients
As part of working with Accounting for Good, all clients have access to our Client Support & Learning sessions.
These sessions are designed to give you space to ask questions, sense-check decisions, and get clarity on the financial, governance, and funding issues that come up between deadlines — without judgement and without jargon.
This is not formal training or a presentation. It’s a supportive, confidential space for real-life questions.
What are the Client Support Clinics?
Client Support Clinics are relaxed, online drop-in sessions for existing clients only.
You can use them to:
ask questions about funding, restricted funds, or reporting
check whether a decision you’re considering could have financial or governance implications
get clarity on trustees’ responsibilities and expectations
talk through something that feels unclear or worrying before it becomes a problem
You don’t need to prepare anything, and there’s no expectation to speak — you’re welcome to listen and learn from others’ questions too.
How they work
Held online
Usually 60 minutes
Camera optional
Come for the whole session or drop in for part of it
No slides unless genuinely helpful
We’ll also share common themes and gentle reminders at the end of each session to help you stay on track.
A note on boundaries
These sessions are intended for general guidance, clarification, and support.
If a question needs more detailed, organisation-specific work, we’ll let you know the best next step.
Why we offer this
We know that many issues don’t arise neatly at year end. Providing ongoing support helps:
prevent last-minute panics
support better decision-making
build confidence for directors and trustees
reduce stress around finances and compliance
This is part of how we work with clients — not an add-on.
Need Help Implementing or Improving Xero or QuickBooks?

set up or refine your Xero or QuickBooks file
configure tracking for projects, income streams or restricted funds
tidy up existing data so reports make sense
create clear, funder- and trustee-friendly reports
build confidence in your day-to-day bookkeeping
